The Crossmax SL Pro LTD 27.5'' Wheelset from Mavic is ideal for XC riding, whether racing on a proper race course or rolling through wilder lands. The Crossmax SL Pro is the first mountain bike wheel to use the patented ISM4D technology, which reduces the rim weight and inertia by a machining process. This process removes material where it is not needed and keeps it where it offers a more dynamic ride. But as we all know not all races and trails are equal so ISM4D doesn't compromise durability or stiffness even though it uses less material, making these wheels suitable for racing and more demanding trails.
To make sure you fully benefit from these high tech wheels, Mavic supply you with a set of Crossmax Pulse tyres, which have been extensively developed to complement the wheel perfectly. The pulse is fast and light but not limited to dry and flat trails. With their fast rolling compound on the centre tread and softer side knobs (Xmix dual compound), the Crossmax Pulse tyre screams high speed rolling, confident cornering and even superior mud shedding capabilities for grip in all conditions. The user-friendly UST (universal standard for tubeless) rims and lighter UST tubeless ready tyres allows this fast and light wheel/tyre system to bring all the benefits of tubeless - traction, control, lower risk of flats and reduced weight. The hubs on these wheels are compatible with 9 and 15mm axles on the front and 9x135 QR, 12x135 or 12 x 142 on the rear, with all adapters included. The freewheel is the proven ITS-4system which provides quick engagement. Available in Black with Yellow graphics suitable for Shimano or SRAM XD drives.
